The Vendors in the Valley and “Show-Off Your Wheels” event in Verdigre is set for October 1st at the Wildwood Acres Park in Verdigre.

Car, Pickup, Motorcycle and Tractor Show to be held
The Second Annual “Show Off Your Wheels ~ Car, Pickup, Motorcycle and Tractor Show”
will be held on Saturday, October 1, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Wildwood Acres Park in Verdigre. Registration for vehicles starts at 8:00 a.m. “Show Off Your Wheels” will be held along with this season’s final Vendors In The Valley sponsored by Verdigre Softball League. Bring your family for a relaxing and fun day in the park! I have attended all of the Vendors In The Valley shows this summer and have truly enjoyed meeting so many people from throughout Nebraska, as they stopped by to eat lunch and shop while staying at their cabins or camping in the area. This is a wonderful time to take the family to the park, shop with the vendors, visit with friends and neighbors, enjoy a wonderful meal, look over the vehicles and have quality family time.
Show Off Your Wheels will be sponsored by The Verdigre Vánoce Committee.
Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 vehicles registered for the show. Peoples Choice Trophies will be given to each of the four vehicle categories (Car, Pickup, Motorcycle and Tractor). Goodie Bags will be provided to the registered vehicle owners.
An Autumn Coloring Contest will be sponsored by the Vánoce Committee. Pictures will be colored during the show and displayed throughout the day, then taken to Alpine Village for their residents to enjoy throughout the month. Prizes for the Coloring Contest will be provided by the Verdigre Vánoce Committee. Prizes will be awarded for the best picture colored by each age, two years old through 12 years old.
Appreciation notes written and pictures colored by Verdigre Public School second, third and fourth grade students to Verdigre Volunteer Firemen will be on display.
We will be kicking off October with a costume contest as well. Registered vehicle owners can dress in clothing representing the period of their vehicle. There will also be a costume contest for any youth, up through age 12 to show off their Halloween or Homecoming Costume.
Door prize drawings will be held for vendors, guests, and registered vehicle owners. There will be a decorated area for children or families to capture a fall picture. Delicious food and snacks will be available throughout the day.
